As an Australian where private gun ownership is restricted, I was not prepared for the noise or the kickback of the weapon. Visiting Pompeii was a truly incredible experience. Our family's white water rafting tour in Bali provided the inspiration for several exhilarating scenes in my action-packed military romance novel, Rescue Mission. This adventure inspired an action packed scene in my survival romance Deadly Twist where my hero and heroine become trapped in a cenotes. . . it's heart pounding! Taking the family to Big White in Canada was a blast. I love a good adrenaline rush, and this snow mobile sure provided that. One of my favorite places in the world is Egypt. I am fascinated by the ancient history that is everywhere. My visit to Tut Ankh Amon tomb was a bucket list tick for me. I just love being on the back of my hubby's Honda Goldwing motorbike - Shadow. My grouchy military hero in my steamy Military Romance - Stealth Mission rides a motorbike like this. He's also a fireman and a detonation expert. Woah, now he's a hero who will set your heart racing.

My hubby and I hiked the Cinque Terre which a very challenging trek through 5 centuries-old seaside villages on the rugged Italian Riviera coastline. The colorful houses, and vineyards cling to steep terraces, and the views over the harbors filled with fishing boats and lovely little cafes is spectacular. My Treasure Hunters series has many scenes set in Italy - one of my favorite places in the world.

No visit to Brazil is complete without visiting the incredible, towering statue of Christ the Redeemer. During our stay in Rio de Janeiro we also saw some of the impoverished neighborhoods of the city's poorest residents. These contrasting sights influenced my action-packed romantic suspense novel, Treasured Hopes where my hero is chased by ruthless killers through these deadly streets.

In 1989 my hubby and I spent 3 months travelling Europe. This was my first time to Chamonix France. It wasn't so quaint when we returned 30 years later. I've been to 44 countries, and counting, and I love sharing my first-hand experience in these wonderful places when I write my stories. This photo of my hubby and I at sunset in Fiji was taken at a time when photoshop didn't exist. Isn't it beautiful? Just like my love for my man. We've been together since 1986, so I confess I'm a hopeless romantic. And I love pouring my heart into my stories. I want you to feel the love my hero and heroine have for each other and finish my romance stories with a song in your heart. Reading one romance is never enough, which is why grabbing a book bundle, so you can feast on the happy ever afters, is a great idea.

When we visited the Cayman Islands, we did a tour out to a small sandbar in the middle of nowhere where we swam with giant sting rays. While I absolutely loved it, my sons were not so keen. Overcoming fear is something all my characters do in many intense scenes in my action-packed romantic suspense books where danger and passion collide.

My hubby and I embarked on our first overseas adventure back in 1989, which included a visit to the quaint cottage of Anne Hathaway, Shakespeare's wife. That initial international trip sparked a lifelong passion for exploration, and over the past three decades, I have visited 44 countries around the world. I'm fascinated by ancient ruins, and visiting sites like the Acropolis in Greece is always a highlight of my travels. Carving down snow-capped mountains on skis is an exhilarating thrill I've enjoyed in Australia, New Zealand, Canada and France. It's always fun, fun, fun. My hubby and I love exploring the ancient cities of Europe. We stumbled upon this small, medieval town of Arezzo, which is home to century old churches, beautiful art galleries, and stunning historical buildings. We were so lucky to be there during the town's monthly antique market which was AMAZING! This beautiful Tuscan town provided loads of inspiration for my Treasure Hunters Series.

Staying at the Ice Hotel in Sweden was always on my bucket list, and I never thought I'd actually get to tick it off. I am so glad we made the mammoth effort to make it happen. It was so worth it!

Every single winter, the pristine waters of the Torne River in Sweden freeze up into solid ice. And back in 1989, the very first Icehotel was hand-sculpted right out of those massive ice blocks carved out of this river. Check out more ice sculptures in my blog.

Soaring over the breathtaking expanse of the Grand Canyon in a helicopter was a truly unforgettable highlight of my trip to America. This aerial perspective provided an amazing view of the spectacular natural wonder. While my own experience was breathtaking and ended safely, the story takes a dramatic turn for my heroine in my action-packed romantic suspense novel Extreme Limit. When her chopper crashes in the Canadian Rockies, plunging her into an icy crevasse, Holly finds something in that frozen tomb that will keep you guessing right to the last page. In Copenhagen, my hubby and I strolled the iconic landmark of Nyhavn, a 17th-century harbor, which is lined with wooden ships, modern boats, multicolored townhouses, and seafood restaurants. In my Treasure Hunter's series, my hero Archer owns a multi-million dollar yacht, and as my characters travel the world searching for treasure, they venture into many scenic places like this. When we were in Amsterdam we visited the house of Anne Frank who was a German-born Jewish girl who hid from the Nazi's in an attic with her family during the German occupation of the Netherlands. Anne documented her ordeal and their everyday life hiding in that tiny attic for 5 months. It's impossible to fathom what Anne and her family endured during that terrifying time. In my Alpha Tactical Ops series, part of my story revolves around an large cache of gold bars that the Nazi's made from looted treasure. Whilst my story is fictitious, the theme behind it is unfortunately real.

I love getting outdoors with a bit of fun exercise. This did it. . . a bike ride from Venus Beach to the Santa Monica Pier in Los Angeles. In my action-packed military romance Rescue Mission, my ultra-fit heroine Maya runs her own company taking corporate executives on team-building exercises. Maya is also a skilled sniper. I love writing sexy, sassy, super confident heroines, and Maya is one of my favorites.

Here's my hubby and I, enjoying a peaceful boat ride along a picturesque creek in Vietnam. The lush vegetation and the friendly guide's smile capture the beauty and warmth of the local culture. These types of immersive experiences provide valuable perspectives and inspire my writing, like the scenes depicting a Cuban family finding joy in the midst of hardship in my book Zero Escape, where my heroine is searching for answers behind her father's murder in Havana Cuba.

I love stumbling across ancient, overgrown structures like this moss-covered bridge in the jungles of Bali. In my story Deadly Twist my hero and heroine get lost in the Yucatan jungle of Mexico, where the scenery is spectacular but they're too busy evading deadly killers after witnessing something they shouldn't have. Zipping through the bustling streets of Paris on a Segway tour with my family - life doesn't get much better! 🛴 Paris may be the city of love, but for my quirky heroine Daisy in my steamy romantic comedy Sinful Escape, she's sworn off love and men after her ex shattered her heart. However, her sizzling hot co-worker has other plans as they travel around Europe in their tour bus. 🇫🇷💕

When I travel, I love taking cooking classes to learn about the local cuisine. Here we are in New Orleans, whipping up a storm of Jambalaya, Gumbo, and Crawfish Étouffée - our meals were absolutely delicious! 🥘 However, when my 5-star chef character Mackenzie gets stranded in the Kakadu National Park after a disastrous plane flight in my award-winning survival romance Lost in Kakadu, he has to get very creative with the native flora and fauna to survive in the rugged jungle. Visiting the ancient city of Ephesus in Turkey's Central Aegean region was a dream come true - the spectacular Greco-Roman archaeological site ticked all the right boxes for me. Just look at this incredible photo of the Celsus Library, originally constructed around 100 AD! 🏛️ In the first book of my Treasure Hunters series, Treasured Secrets, my feisty Italian heroine Rosalina discovers a hidden 13th century crypt beneath an ancient church. But the real excitement comes from the clue to a vast missing treasure that she uncovers within the crypt. If you love thrilling treasure hunt romance, this series is definitely for you.

We conquered the mountain! 🏔️ This is the incredibly steep section of Mount Warning - a volcanic plug from the now-extinct Tweed Volcano. This full-day trek with my family was an incredible adventure, grueling at times but ultimately so much fun. 😅 Unfortunately, my heroine Holly in my action-packed romantic suspense thriller - Extreme Limit - doesn't have fun on her mountain climb. Because amidst the deadly natural beauty of Whiskey Mountain, she also has a killer on her tail, who'll stop at nothing to keep a case cold.

I'm addicted to adrenaline rushes, and this jet-ski safari on the Gold Coast was an absolute blast! My speedster hubby loved ripping through the waves at full throttle on this beast - I had to hang on for dear life a few times, but what a rush! 🤩 Speaking of adrenaline-fueled thrills, have you checked out my mystery crime thriller "Jagged Edge"? There's an exhilarating power to standing beneath a natural waterfall. This shot was taken long ago during a trip to Fiji, before the era of digital photography - hence the classic frame around the image. In my novel 'Deadly Twist', my hero and heroine stumble upon a rejuvenating waterfall while lost in the stifling Mexican jungle, providing relief from days of accumulated sweat and grime.

A small plane flight over the Gold Coast seaway was the perfect surprise for my hubby to celebrate our 10th anniversary and it was a truly magical experience. Unfortunately, my characters in 'Lost in Kakadu' didn't have the same joy - their plane crashed into the Australian outback, leaving the two complete strangers who survived to grapple with the dire reality that rescue was never coming.
