Synopsis

WINNER: Romantic Book of the Year
Two complete strangers are the sole survivors of a plane crash.
They waited to be rescued. They assumed they’d die. They never expected to fall in love.

After a harrowing plane crash in the remote Australian wilderness, wealthy socialite Abigail Mulholland and Mackenzie Steel, a man mourning his partner lost in the same disaster, are the only survivors. Isolated and awaiting rescue that never comes, they face deadly wildlife and unforgiving elements in a landscape as brutal as it is beautiful.

Thrust together by fate, Abigail and Mackenzie must navigate not only the dangers of the Kakadu jungle but also their unlikely attraction. Battling their inner demons, they discover that the key to survival lies in trusting each other, even as nature conspires to tear them apart.

Lost in Kakadu is not just a story of survival; it's an extraordinary journey through grief, resilience, and an unpredictable love as wild as the jungle itself. Dive into this enemies-to-lovers, opposites-attract romance featuring an older woman and a younger man, and discover why this survival romance claimed the title of Romantic Book of the Year.

This best-selling, award-winning, stand-alone novel celebrates the strength of the human spirit and the power of love to flourish in the most unlikely places.

Chapter Look Inside

“Hey, are you down here?”

Startled by Mackenzie’s deep voice, Abi hid behind a tree.

I should play a trick on him.

She gasped. Oh my god, he's stripping.

His body was amazing. Muscular and bronzed.

She couldn’t drag her eyes off his glorious ass as he did a beautiful swan dive into the lagoon below. He backstroked to the waterfall and the tumbling cascade bounced off his shoulders. He swam a few laps then climbed out in a spectacular show of strength. The golden sun glistened off his body creating a magical scene.

She felt alive. Oh, so alive.

All too soon, he strolled away and vanished into the bushes.

Grinning like a giddy teenager, she stood at the top of waterfall and pictured him diving into the lagoon below.

I can do that.

She stripped to her underpants and, before she changed her mind, she jumped, squealing until the crisp water took her breath away. Swimming across the glistening surface, she climbed out and lay topless on the giant boulder.

The warmth of the rock beneath her was as pleasant as the sun on her chest.

“It’s beautiful, isn’t it?” Mackenzie’s voice made her jump.

Gasping, she covered her breasts. “Are you spying on me?”

“I heard you scream and thought you’d fallen in. Mind if I join you?” Mackenzie undressed, dove in and swam to her. She nearly swallowed her tongue as he climbed onto the rock. . . naked.

Why am I covering myself? He’s not going to look at me. He’s younger than me. Hotter than me.

Hardly able to breathe, she lowered her arms.

Her heart thundered as she chewed on her lip, trying to keep it all real.
