I don't know if I'm weird, but I’m fascinated by abandoned buildings. How do elaborate houses or even entire towns become deserted and left to decay? Whenever I see one, I wonder what happened - why didn't anybody want them? So, it's no surprise that the haunting mystery behind these structures has become a recurring theme in my stories. Each abandoned place tells its own tale of forgotten dreams and lost possibilities.
Henry Ford had a dream—a vision of a utopian community nestled in the heart of the Amazon jungle, where rubber would flow like the mighty rivers surrounding it. This dream gave birth to Fordlandia, a sprawling residential town that aimed to transform the rubber industry. However, what started as an ambitious project quickly spiraled into a cautionary tale of human ambition gone wrong.
Fordlandia was established in the late 1920s, complete with homes, schools, and even a hospital. Ford envisioned a self-sustaining community where workers could thrive.
